Welsh news from National AGM

Venue – Conwy (Caernarfon) Golf Club

All convened on an idyllic day, wonderful views and weather to match.

Thanks must go to Matthew Parsley (GM) and his team for hosting and caring for all who attended. As a proud Conwy member; an honourable mention to JR Jones (GCMA President) for being master of ceremonies and local tourist information advocate.

Ray Chilten was formally voted in as National Captain 2026/27, proposed by John Dinsdale, seconded by Gareth Hall.
Cameron Dawson conducted the ceremony but couldn’t resist presenting Ray with a ceremonial English shirt, to the amusement of all.

To the golf and the Drive In, Ray was quite relaxed, Paul Adams was not quite so excited to find he was paired with Ray and driving off in front of such a large crowd (both did admirably)
